Teaching Assistant Level 2 SEN Allowance 32.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
Salary: Grade D
Closing date for applications: 27 November 2025, 12.30pm

Devonshire Road Primary School is a very friendly and welcoming two form entry multicultural primary school. We aim to help children achieve, rise to challenges and learn and grow with pride and confidence. We were judged as a good school with outstanding features at our most recent Ofsted in October 2022.

We are looking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic teaching assistant who will complement our already excellent team.  The role will primarily be to support children with additional need in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum whilst developing socially and emotionally.  The member of staff will be expected to work with children individually, work within small groups and facilitate the child’s inclusion and development within the classroom setting under the direction of the year group teacher. Ideally, we would like to appoint a member of staff who can be flexible enough to work with a range of ages throughout the primary school phases.

Finding someone who shares our school values is the most important thing for us.  We want someone who has inclusion and equality at the heart of everything they do.  We want someone who has a positive outlook, a can-do problem-solving attitude and desire to always do the best for the children in their care.  We want someone who will be kind, be curious and be the best they can be at all times.

We can offer:

  • A friendly and supportive staff and senior leadership team.
  • Well-mannered, enthusiastic children.
  • Appropriate CPD opportunities.
  • Fun and a challenge!
