In Key Stage 1 and 2, Geography invites children to explore the world around them, fostering a sense of curiosity about their environment. Through engaging activities, pupils will learn to identify and appreciate different places, understand physical and human geography, and develop skills in map-reading and observation. Our aim is to instil an appreciation for the diversity of cultures and landscapes, while encouraging critical thinking and environmental awareness.

"We learn about different places on Earth. We do this because we might not be able to see them for ourselves."

"We've looked at hot and cold regions and used our animal knowledge from Y1 to help us know who would live in each place."

"Greater Manchester is a county."

"We add on our things that we learned last year to help us this year. Things like the weather being similar in London to Iceland sometimes."
