At Devonshire Road, we believe that children’s voices truly matter. They are the next generation of changemakers, and their ideas and thoughts help shape the direction of our school.
Each year, two children from every class are elected to become  ambassadors. This supports our commitment to teaching the British Value of Democracy, giving pupils a real-life opportunity to vote, represent others, and lead positive change.

Our Devonshire Road Ambassadors meet regularly to:

  • Share their class's views, ideas and suggestions
  • Work on school-wide projects that matter to pupils
  • Help improve the school experience for everyone
  • Discuss ideas with staff and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Take action on important environmental issues, such as reducing waste, promoting recycling, and supporting sustainable initiatives across the school

This important role gives children the chance to develop key skills like leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving, while making a real difference to school life.
Our ambassadors are passionate, thoughtful, and proud to represent their classmates- helping to make Devonshire Road the best it can be, now and for the future
