Healthy Living Week is a recognised week throughout schools all across the country. It celebrates all that we can do to be healthy, such as; preparing, making and enjoying delicious healthy meals, looking after our hygiene, as well as drinking plenty of the good stuff... water, plus many, many more.
The children in each year group will have the opportunity to produce some tasty meals in class and KS2 will be able to participate in the exciting Fun Food Chef workshop that has gone down a treat in previous years. We will also have a Tai Chi workshop available for KS1 classes where the children will learn the art of keeping a healthy mind and healthy body (we will also invite families to come along for a parent workshop in the hall with their child - more about this to follow). Furthermore, each class will all participate in the daily mile to encourage exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Although Healthy Living Week only runs for one week of the year, we hope that this fun-filled week will encourage our children to maintain the healthy habits they have learnt and spread the fun and enjoyment to their friends and families.
