As we draw this half-term to a close, it is a brilliant opportunity to reflect on all the amazing things that have happened over the 8 weeks: from starting a fresh year, to enrichment workshops galore; from our centenary celebrations, to our incredible Ofsted report. From PGL residentials, to whole-school poetry performances. We cannot thank everyone within the community enough for making this school the most amazing place to be a part of. The children. The staff. The parents and carers. The governors. The external agencies. We are incredibly appreciative of the input you all have on a daily basis.
And with the dark nights closing in and the temperatures dropping, we are incredibly proud of the attendance of our amazing pupils. 232 of them achieved 100% attendance in the first half-term, with so many more achieving above 95% attendance - we could not have done this without the steadfast support of our parents and carers, of whom we are so grateful for.
Please take a few moments to celebrate this week's specific achievements below, and we hope you have a well-deserved break.
Headteacher's Awards
This week, the winners of the Headteacher's Awards have been given to the following children:
Y6P - Mahnoor A - For quietly completing all her work to a high standard, always being positive and polite and challenging herself to be outside of her comfort zone this week when she had to read out loud to the class.
Y6B - Jack B - For having a wonderful attitude to his learning this week and producing excellent pieces of work
Y5H - Yousuf H - For not only being a ray of sunshine in our class every day, but for his unbelievable determination during Bikeability this week! Yousuf was an absolute star and blew us all away!
Y5W - Callum M - Callum has shown great resilience during Bikeability, from learning to ride a bike in two hours to riding confidently around the yard determined to perfect his manoeuvring. He picked himself up, dusted himself off and got back on his bike too many times to mention - and never gave up or grumbled once.
Y4AT - Abdul Q-S - For being a polite, kind and hard-working member of the class. I am very impressed with how hard you are trying to focus and put your 100% effort into your work.
Y4R - Momo H - For an amazing piece of story writing, using adjectives and speech.
Y3A - Tommy N - For having an amazing week; he has been a wonderful role model both in class with his school work and while playing team games at playtimes.
Y3B - Isla M - For always being kind, curious and the best you can be. You are a brilliant role model for other children!
Y2C - Lili H - For always being a kind and caring member of the class

Y1L - Dwayne M - For independently choosing to complete the writing challenge about Gerald the giraffe. Keep up the hard work!
