What a wonderful morning we had celebrating poetry and competing! This morning, one child from each class proudly performed a poem they had rehearsed and learnt. We enjoyed a brilliant variety of poems- from rhyming and funny poems to action-packed performances and so much more! The winners will be announced in the next Headteachers Assembly and will receive a special book of poetry. All class winners, who competed, will receive their medal too!
The children were loud, confident and enthusiastic, and most importantly, they had a fantastic time! 🎭
In preparation for our poetry celebration, every child had the opportunity to learn a poem and perform it to their own class. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, building confidence and enjoying the experience.

And... there’s more poetry to come! Over the next few weeks, the children will be working on a special class project which will culminate in a whole-school poem, created especially to celebrate our 100 Year Anniversary! 🎉🎉🎉
