Huggy Wuggy is character that is in an app called Poppy Playtime – the character itself is scary and inappropriate for young children. The game is about a collection of scary looking characters who are involved in a missing person mystery and the player has to solve horror-based puzzles. There is also a version of this on Roblox and a selection of songs on YouTube. The song has references to hugging but in violent ways. The issue with the term 'Huggy Wuggy', is that it will go through parental filters because the name sounds safe. Your children may still be able to access the song or app even with a filter present. Please check your children’s devices and remove or block these if necessary.
