As you will already know, many of our children are aware of the plight of the people living in, and fleeing from, Ukraine at the moment. The Department for Education are backing the Disasters for Emergency Committee's (DEC) fundraising day which is happening tomorrow. The DEC are currently committed to supporting families in both Ukraine and Afghanistan. More information can be found at Home | Disasters Emergency Committee (dec.org.uk).
Tomorrow we are holding an extra non-uniform day to support DEC’s work. Children can come to school wearing their own clothes in exchange for bringing a cash donation (big or small) in to school for this charity.
Please note this is in addition to our charity calendar that was planned at the beginning of the year. We hope that you understand our reasons for adding in this additional day.
